How can I view an apartment?

You can view the apartment you're interested in by renting it from the Lumo webstore, submitting a rental contact form, or attending a general viewing.

Viewing an apartment through renting the apartment from the Lumo webstore

If the apartment you find is either currently vacant or will soon be vacant, you can rent it immediately from the Lumo webstore. In the webstore, the tenancy agreement is made by paying a reservation fee of 350 euros or the first month's rent. After the tenancy agreement is made, the apartment you want will be yours and removed from the Lumo webstore for others.

At the end of the webstore rental, you can book a time for an apartment viewing. If necessary, we will contact you to arrange the apartment viewing. The apartment viewing is aimed at being placed within three working days after the tenancy agreement is made.

Since you can only explore the apartment after renting it, we offer a satisfaction guarantee: You can cancel the agreement if the apartment does not correspond to the information provided or is not suitable for you.

If you do not want the rented apartment after exploring it, you can cancel the tenancy agreement. The amount you paid will be refunded to your account no later than the next working day without additional costs.

Please note that renting an apartment in the Lumo webstore is always binding. You cannot cancel the tenancy agreement if you do not want an apartment viewing.

Tenancy agreements signed via the Lumo webstore are not subject to the provisions on distance selling stipulated by Chapter 6 of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. Even if a tenancy agreement is signed online, you do not, for example, have the right to cancel the agreement within fourteen (14) days of signing the agreement, as consumers generally do in the context of online purchases (Finnish Consumer Protection Act, Chapter 6).

If you need help finding your dream home, you can submit a rental contact form to us. On the form, provide more details about your need for an apartment so we can find the best home for you.

When you identify yourself with online banking credentials, we can offer you more personalized service and speed up the process of finding your new home. Once you have verified your identity, we can provide you with better assistance in finding a suitable apartment. We will contact you within 24 hours during weekdays when we find a suitable home for you. Read more about identification in the Lumo webstore.

When you identify yourself, you also create an open application that is valid for two (2) months. During this time, we can contact you and help you to find a new apartment.

Please note that submitting an application does not bind you to anything and does not create a reservation for the apartments being searched. If you want to secure the apartment you want for yourself, we recommend renting it from the Lumo webstore.

For webstore rentals, we give you a satisfaction guarantee, meaning you can cancel the tenancy agreement after viewing the apartment if it is not suitable for you or does not match the information we provided.

General viewings

We also organize general viewings for available Lumo homes. Apartments in general viewings are marked with a Viewing label. You can see the exact time of the general viewing by clicking the apartment address. You will be directed to the apartment's own page, where the viewing time and other detailed information are above the apartment pictures.

You do not need to register separately for general viewings – you can go to the location at the announced time. However, the general viewing will be canceled if the apartment is rented before the viewing starts.

If you are interested in viewing a Lumo building that is either new or under renovation, you need to register for the general viewings. This ensures the safety of participants at the construction site.
